Who We Are

Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue was born out of my love for small dogs and desire to help those in need, and in memory of the loss of a dear family member. Dealing frequently with small breed puppies and retired breeder moms, we strive to find homes that are aware of the commitment to raising a small breed dog and to the patience needed in socializing and housebreaking a retired breeder mom who has no idea what life in a home is all about. We are foster home based and are always looking for new foster homes to help us continue our love of rescuing dogs in need. We are happy to assist in owner surrender placements, especially those in need of surrendering their small dogs due to financial hardships, loss of a loved one, or dog owner entering assisted living facilities or nursing homes. We pride ourselves with a thorough search for that perfect home for a dog in need and follow up with phone calls to ensure things are going well. Tiny Paws will take back an adopted dog should the need arise within a reasonable notice and an available foster home has an open spot. Our goal is to someday own a building to house even more canine companions in need. We look forward to helping you find your family pet.

Adopting a Friend

Please contact us for adoption information at (262) 496-9324. We schedule "Meet and Greet" appointments for the desired dogs and cats. Reference checks are done prior to the visit. Application paperwork is completed during the "Meet and Greet" appointment. Adoption fees vary according to pet and their background and needs. Adoption fee does cover spays and neuters if performed by rescue vet or a $50.00 refund will be given for a spay or neuter for your adopted dog. To qualify for refund, please send vet receipt with pet's name and date of surgery. PLEASE NOTE OUR SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT IS STRICTLY ENFORCED AND FOLLOW-UP WILL PURSUE TO INSURE SURGERY WAS COMPLETED. The dogs are vaccinated to date with the exception of Bordetella as that is left to the adopter's discretion. All dogs qualify for a 7 day return policy. We encourage all adopters to schedule a vet visit at their cost to insure that there are no unseen issues that Tiny Paws is not aware of. Should the dog not pass the physical, adoption fees are returned in full. Breeder Moms or Dads may allow for a longer trial basis due to their lack of socialization.

If you have any questions please feel free to call any of the phone numbers, or e-mail Vicki at tinypaws@live.com. We'll be happy to help.

Billy

Good Morning Foster Homes, Volunteers, Fellow Rescue Friends and Family, I was really down in the dumps the other night thinking how this is the first Christmas without my Angel Dog Billy and how much I have lost this year from friendships, to my Father-In-Law, Horse Friend, Horses, Cats and other things. While browsing through my newspaper in my one spare minute, I ran across an article about a book THERE ARE NO SAD DOGS IN HEAVEN and just reading what this book was about brought me to tears, but also brought me some relief as it validated what Carolee, my Animal Communicated last reported to me about Billy, that he is waiting for me and he is a much younger Billy and he is running free of pain and with others that have also crossed over. She then asked me if I believe in reincarnation and sure enough this article attested to the fact that our pets who have passed on, want us to adopt another as they like to move in and always remind us that they are with us always. I am sharing the picture with you of Junior and Sassy. Junior was my Foster Yorkie who is now a permanent foster as the longer he was with me, the more he reminded me of Billy and his behavior and the fact that Sassy, who loved to wash Billy's face and really mess up his hair-do and much to his dismay, has finally discovered Junior's face and I could not resist a photo as every time I look at this, I see Billy laughing and glad it is Junior and not him, but he has molded himself to satisfy Sassy's need to mother her new friend and share her days with him, like she did Billy as she mourned such as I. Junior makes me laugh daily and although Billy said, he will never replace me as there is only ONE Billy, but he is here to help you heal and to know that I will forever be with you in one capacity or another.

So for all of you who have lost a pet and feel you cannot open your arms to another, please do as you are missing out so much and even missing out on memories of your beloved one who has passed on but will show you signs they have never left you every day in your new furry friend. What a better time than Christmas to go to your local shelter or rescue and save a dog or cat from shelter life and bring home to a warm family, good food, fireplace, and presents under the tree.

From my house to yours and to all of your families and friends and furry buddies, please enjoy your holidays to the fullest, hug your children and pets and enjoy every second you have with them and may we all have a BETTER New Year.

Love,

Vic and her Tiny Paws Fur Gang
